I supported 8th grade Mathematics for the last 6 years of my teaching experience working in the Madison Metropolitan School District. I was able to take the CPM curriculum with the help of my coworkers over the last 3 years and modify assignments and assessments to be more accessible to all students. I was seeing a lot of success with the students that I worked with directly. After the 2017-2018 school year, I decided that I wanted to make a larger impact in education. I chose to pursue my passion of photography to travel the country, connect with new people, learn their stories, discuss education, and continue to grow my knowledge of the history of the education system. Using the work I completed with the CPM curriculum, along with the new knowledge I have gathered in the last 8 months of traveling, I am excited to share the information with you to bring back to your classrooms that will benefit all the students that you work with.
